| SSN Institutions holds 10th
Graduation Day |

705 graduates and postgraduates conferred degrees |

Chennai, April 10, 2010: SSN
Institutions, an initiative of Dr. Shiv Nadar, Founder, HCL
Group, held its 10th Graduation ceremony with traditional
academic regalia at its campus at Kalavakkam today. Mr.
Sivakumar Ramamurthy, Managing Director - Intel South Asia,
was the Chief Guest and conferred degrees to 705 graduate
and postgraduate students from various engineering and
management academic programs. Mr.Srinivasan, Chairman SSN
Institutions presided over the function. Ms.Kala Vijayakumar,
President, SSN Institutions welcomed the gathering of
special invitees, students and staff. Principal Dr. S.
Salivahanan presented the Institution Report 2009-2010.
Twenty students who are University Rank holders were
honoured with the prestigious 'Chairman's Gold Medal' and
the 'Chairman's Silver Medal'. Twenty six students secured
College gold and silver medals for securing first and second
ranks, respectively in the disciplines concerned. These were
awarded for the BE/B.Tech, ME/M.Tech, MCA and MBA courses.
The Chairman's gold medal winners included Gnanavignesh R,
Anirudh Guha, Fareez Ahamed S (B.E Electrical & Electronics
Engineering), Arvind S,Karthikeyan B, Lakshmi Krishnan (B.E.
Electronics & Communication Engineering), Manogna S, Surabhi
V, Sree Vaishnavi, Arul Jyothi Balakrishnan, (B.E
Bio-Medical Engineering), Saranya K Saranya S (B.Tech-
Chemical Engineering), Subashini P, (M.E. Applied
Electronics) and Nagajothy M, (ME Communication Systems).
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sivakumar Ramamurthy, Managing
Director - Intel South Asia, said, "I offer my warmest
congratulations to all of you who are receiving degrees
today. Graduation day is a milestone in the life of every
student. If you have a good attitude, you can achieve your
life's goals more effectively. The right attitude will help
you to win the situation whether it is within your place of
organization or in your personal life. Never let your mind,
get the best of you, if you trust that you can do it, then
you can.
Mr.Srinivasan, Chairman, SSN Institutions said, "Our
Institution believes in promoting the potential among the
younger generation to rise to the highest levels of global
technocracy and leadership. This is the founder's vision. To
carry forward these goals, the not-for-profit Institution is
undertaking major strategic initiatives aimed at promoting
centres of excellence in promoting research based education
and collaboration."
Kala Vijayakumar, President, SSN Institutions said, "Our

for students and faculty. The total students' strength is
close to 3000. The faculty student ratio is a favorable 1:
12.

already come to be ranked as one of the top ten private
