· Dr.R. Rengaraj and Dr. A.N. Arvindan was awarded the best teacher award for the year 2009 on 5th September 2010

· The Association of Electrical and Electronics Engineers organized a technical symposium "EUPRAXIA-2010" on August 31, 2010.

· Department Conducted a National Conference on “Recent Trends in Power system ,Power electronics and Drives “ – April 15 to 17 ,2010

· Dr.Rajini and Mr.Rengaraj was awarded the best teacher award for the year 2008 on 5th September 2009
